Quiet, Now

“Quiet, Now’s reflective stylings are the work of a concisely expressive duet.”

The Herald

“Your tunes are wonderful. Quiet, Now is a fine showcase for your playing and very listenable. You’re onto something good here!”

— New York pianist, Mark Soskin

In an age where so much jazz music has taken on the competitive elements of the Olympics - higher louder, faster — a counter-balance was required. Quiet, Now is an acoustic duo featuring David Patrick and Brazilian bassist Mario Caribe, exploring the peaceful side of jazz in the spirit of Bill Evans and Kenny Barron. Their debut CD features choice standards and their own compositions in equal measure, with an emphasis on space, atmosphere and interaction.

Introducing Todd Gordon

“Leader in his field, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Great American Songbook” — Scottish Television

Todd Gordon has risen through the ranks at a truly electrifying pace, turning professional after opening for Dionne Warwicke in front of 2,000 people at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival in 2003. Three songs from his current album, ‘Love’s Illusions’ have been placed on jazz fm’s evening playlist, and his album launch at Pizza Express Dean Street was given a 3 star review in The Times by Clive Davis.

David is Todd’s long-time arranger and musical director. To visit Todd’s website, click here.

“Like all the great singers such as Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, Todd Gordon has the rare gift of creating the web of atmosphere that enfolds his listeners and draws them right into the heart of every song’s story” — Edinburgh Guide
